this guide would need thorough adjustment for the new partition scheme. this is a neat feature, but it should be integrated into the build process, so that if the data folder is present, the littlefs.bin is generated and adde to the factory firmware image automatically.
this guide is not applicable to OpenDTU-OnBattery, as the project started with the "new" (now obsolete again) layout.
do not mention specific devkit boards hare, but mention the fusion board instead.

This brings the adjusted documentation up to a level that I feel comfortable making public. It is still incomplete, though. Some content will remain in the wiki for now. Now it's time to go live with this, as it includes the upgrade instructions for the upcoming release (switch to 8 MB partition scheme).
