Welcome to my Ansible repository! This repository contains a collection of Ansible playbooks and roles that I've created to automate various tasks, including server setup, configuration, and application deployment. Below, you'll find a brief overview of the contents of this repository.

1. Playbooks

• Install Zabbix: An Ansible playbook to install Zabbix server and agents on specified hosts, along with necessary configurations.

2. Roles

• MySQL Role: A role to install and configure MySQL server.

• PHP Role: A role to install PHP and required PHP modules.

3. Inventory

• hosts.yml: The inventory file that defines the target hosts for the playbooks. Adjust this file to include your own server details.

How to Install Ansible

To install Ansible on different operating systems

1. Installing Ansible on Ubuntu and Debian:

Open a terminal and run the following commands:

sudo apt update
sudo apt install ansible

2. Installing Ansible on CentOS and RHEL:

Open a terminal and run the following commands:

sudo yum install epel-release
sudo yum install ansible

3. Installing Ansible on Fedora:

Open a terminal and run the following command:

sudo dnf install ansible

4. Installing Ansible on macOS:

Ansible can be installed using Homebrew, a popular package manager for macOS. Open a terminal and run the following command:

brew install ansible

5. Installing Ansible on Windows:

Ansible can be installed on Windows using the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL). Follow these steps: Install WSL following the official documentation: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wsl/install Once you have WSL installed, open a terminal within your preferred Linux distribution (e.g., Ubuntu) in WSL.

Update the package lists and install Ansible with the following commands:

sudo apt update
sudo apt install ansible

6. Installing Ansible using Python PIP:

If your system has Python and PIP installed, you can use PIP to install Ansible globally. Open a terminal and run the following command: pip install ansible

After the installation is complete, you can verify the Ansible version by running:

ansible --version

How to Use

1. Clone the repository to your local machine:

git clone https://github.com/imansadegh/ansible.git
cd ansible
Ensure you have Ansible installed on your local machine. If not, follow the official Ansible installation guide.

Update the inventory file (inventory/hosts.yml) with your target server details.

Run the desired playbook using the ansible-playbook command. For example, to install Zabbix:

ansible-playbook playbooks/zabbix_installation.yml Enjoy the automation! Sit back and relax while Ansible takes care of the server setup and configuration.
