Configuring Ductwork Blocks
Ductwork blocks have two methods of immersive configuraiton which allow the blocks to be reconfigured without menu interactions.
Note: the primary setting can only be changed if Ductwork is not running in Limited Ductworks mode on the server.
This option adjusts whatever is considered to be the primary setting of the block. The primary setting varies depending on the type of Ductwork block being reconfigured. See the Primary Settings section below for details.
To reconfigure a Ductwork block, sneak and use (by default this is right mouse click) the block with your primary hand empty.
You can rotate through the available output orientations of the block as a quicker alternative to breaking and re-placing it. This also helps a lot with things like placing an upward-facing duct right on the floor.
To cycle through the output orientations of a Ductwork block, use the block while holding a wrench in your primary hand. Wrenches from several industrial mods are supported (see Fabric's c:wrenches
item tag). If you do not have a wrench, you can sneak and hold a stick instead.
The Duct block's primary setting is the direction the Duct moves items. In other words, if you sneak-click a Duct which is facing West, it will reverse and instead be facing East. This only impacts the Duct block you clicked, not the entire sequence of Ducts.
For Damper blocks, the primary setting is whether the Damper is open or closed. Sneak-clicking on a Damper will change its "enabled" setting until the next time the Damper receives a block update from one of its neighboring blocks. If/when the block receives a block update it will revert to whatever state is dictated by whether it is receiving redstone power.
In case of Collector blocks, the primary setting is the orientation of the Collector's intake (the side it pulls items from). Sneak-clicking on the Collector will rotate its intake through the available options (all the sides except the one occupied by its ouput).
