  3. create a Python venv

    python3 -m venv turbocharge_infoblox_api

  4. launch the virtual environment

    cd turbocharge_infoblox_api
    source bin/activate

  5. use pip or poetry to install required modules

    Example using pip:

    pip install -r requirements.txt

    Example using poetry:

    poetry install

NOTE: you should update the following variables in the scripts:

  • ibx_grid_master - the IP or hostname of the Grid Master
  • ibx_username - the Infoblox admin user to authenticate
  • ibx_password - the Infoblox user's password
  • ibx_wapi_version - the WAPI version string should be of the form 'v2.11'

The scripts

  • wapi-grid.py - A simple script which creates an infinite loop to fetch the WAPI grid object.
  • wapi-network.py - A simple synchronous WAPI script which inserts 1024 24-bit
    network objects into the grid
  • wapi-request.py - A WAPI script which inserts 1024 24-bit networks in a single WAPI call using the request object
  • wapi-threaded.py - A WAPI script which leverages concurrency to insert 1024 24-bit networks using threads
  • wapi-async.py - An async WAPI script which uses the aiohttp library to address concurrency
