Confirmation mail for creating an account

Hello, I noticed users can create their account without any confirmation which means we just need to know others/random email id to create account. To protect spam & unwanted user account creation NewsBlur should send confirmation mail. From there the user need to setup their password to actually register as a new user...if not don't count the username valid/registered user on NewsBlur server.
