Looking at the Github advisory (GHSA-32x6-qvw6-mxj4), the previous related advisories in Python packages have been for the requests package (psf/requests#4718). Requests is an HTTP client package, so this makes sense.

This advisory is for pyQuEST (https://github.com/rrmeister/pyQuEST), which is not an HTTP client - it's a Python wrapper around a quantum computing simulator. There doesn't appear to be any HTTP-related code in it as far as I could see.

Was this possibly a case of typoing "pyquest" where "requests" was meant?
