Only usage of primary allocation is for the magic egg variables of: {{SERVER_IP}} abd {{SERVER_PORT}}

Besides that, it's only visual.

Instead it could be better to just have the ports as egg variables and you just select (or add new) Allocation from that dropdown instead.
