Description of issue

Attempting to install any formula produces the following error (using fish as an example). The formula appears to be installed (the binary is linked and works) and is listed as "Installed" in brew info <formula>.

I was looking for a command like that, thanks! Now I just need to rule out disk issues causing the corruption in the first place
