Description of issue

Running brew install librsvg homebrew/cask/basictex
resulted in an error linking gdk-pixbuf:

So I tried brew link gdk-pixbuf again manually, but it still failed:

Probably sudo chown -R $(whoami): /usr/local/share/locale.

Are you running MacPorts on your system as well? Can't think of anything else that would install bash locale files as root.
