Description of issue

I'm a newbie to Homebrew, failing to install for the very first time on a new MacBook that meets macOS Requirements:
-- 64-bit Intel CPU
-- macOS Ventura
-- Xcode Command Line Tools (CLT) installed

I followed instructions at https://docs.brew.sh/Installation yet the install fails with error
"Error: Fetching /usr/local/Homebrew/Library/Taps/homebrew/homebrew-core failed!"

Can anyone help me, please?

This is most likely an issue with your connection to GitHub. You can also try our .pkg installer and see if that works. You can grab it from our releases: https://github.com/Homebrew/brew/releases/latest
