dependency [email protected] for imagemagick fails to install

Hi,
when trying to install ImageMagick, brew fails during the installation of the dependency [email protected]:

==> Installing imagemagick dependency: [email protected]
==> ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/work/homebrew/Cellar/[email protected]/3.9.1_5 --en
==> make
==> make install PYTHONAPPSDIR=/usr/local/work/homebrew/Cellar/[email protected]/3.9.1_
==> make frameworkinstallextras PYTHONAPPSDIR=/usr/local/work/homebrew/Cellar/py
Error: An exception occurred within a child process:
  Errno::ENOENT: No such file or directory @ rb_sysopen - /usr/local/work/homebrew/Cellar/[email protected]/3.9.1_5/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/3.9/lib/python3.9/._sysconfigdata__darwin_darwin.py20210108-99609-16tlhfo

How can I fix that?
One specialty: /usr/local/work is on an NFS drive.
