Description of issue

I have two user accounts: admin (which is an administrator account) and my regular user account (not an admin account).

Running brew home with the non-admin user account crashes brew as follows:

$ brew home elektron-transfer

Expected behavior: brew commands that do not require write access to HOMEBREW_PREFIX should work without issue for the non-admin account.

Removing the homebrew cache on the non-admin user, with rm -r ~/Library/Caches/Homebrew/api/ has solved this for me.

The workaround worked, thanks! Removing the cache indeed made the crashes go away.
