tapping a users' name who is offline/renamed/quit often causes me to highlight a user and not realise they won't see it.

some users have yet to see the light and use IRCCloud they turn up, send a message and their connection flakes right away or they quit the room.

Currently if I tap their name and they have quit/disconnected/renamed themselves I send a message that will not be read by them, and makes me look a bit silly.
