<p>El método correcto para ejecutar AJAX en WordPress, se integra armoniosamente con WordPress y permite utilizar sus características propias para facilitar el desarrollo y el funcionamiento de estas interacciones. </p>
<p>La mejor forma de implementar peticiones AJAX es através de <code>/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php</code>, que presenta varias ventajas:</p>

<li>Podemos utilizar todas las funciones de WordPress, sin necesidad de tener que incluir manualmente archivos</li>
<li>Es posible trabajar tanto con peticiones autenticadas como de libre disponibilidad</li>
<li>Seguirá funcionando en cualquier actualización de WordPress</li>
<li>Por lo mismo, cuando un plugin intenta detectar si se está realizando alguna acción con AJAX, se define con este método en particular</li>
<li>

<p>Aquí lo importante es que el parámetro action debe coincidir con el nombre de la acción en la que luego vamos a engancharnos en WordPress.</p>

<p>Los hooks deben declararse de la siguiente manera:</p>
<ul>
<li>wp_ajax_ACTION: Ejecutará la función siempre que el usuario haya hecho login.</li>
<li>wp_ajax_nopriv_ACTION: Ejecutará la función para usuarios que no hayan hecho login.</li>
</ul>
<p>Si queremos que cualquier usuario pueda hacer uso del botón tendremos que usar ambas declaraciones.</p>

<li>Crea un nuevo js en tu carpeta js del plugin, llámalo como quieras y pega el código JS que hemos visto antes.</li>
<li>“Encola” dicho script usando wp_enqueue_script().</li>

<li>Ahora vamos a crear un botón en el widget que creamos hace varias clases. Aquí tienes el HTML:

<li>Ahora basándote en el argumento action del .js, añade los dos Hooks AJAX para ejecutar una función que haciendo uso de la función get_posts recoja 3 posts y los devuelva como un JSON.</li>

<li>El problema del ejercicio anterior es que la variable del .js ajaxurl no existe. Sin embargo sí que lo hará si el JS lo encolamos en el área de administración.</li>
<li>Para el front hay que declarar dicha variable (o simplemente crear otra). La URL a la que debería estar llamando debería ser algo así: http:/localhost:8888/wordpress/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php</li>
<li>Para pasar variables a un fichero JS se puede utilizar la función <code>wp_localize_script()</code>:</li>
