I've been considering this since the very beginning of the app, and a few people have requested it too.

Regardless of the current system orientation lock status, the app could also have its own internally managed orientation lock.

I'm honestly not too sure how the use cases for this would work. I supposed the absolute easiest implementation would be to add a lock setting to the reader, and then whatever orientation the app is in when it is locked becomes that permanent orientation until it is turned back off.

Okay, so iPhone's default behaviour now is that if the system orientation lock is on, the phone gets locked to portrait mode. Adding an in-app orientation lock to constrain the app to landscape on iPhones would work.
