Unreliable navigation behaviour in Android app (Ente Auth)

Not sure how to write this but there are inconsistencies in the behaviour of the navigation on the Android app (Ente Auth). With the same app version and only app version I have yet used I have seen different results for the same actions. Yesterday, trying to go back from the settings screen to the main screen, caused the app to go into the background/minimize instead of going one step back, same applies for the edit account details screen, but today I have seen it work as expected but not all the time.

This may not seem as a big issue at first but I have also seen such unexpected behaviour with the auto lock function but in regards to it not locking. Yesterday, but not for the whole day, the auto lock function did not work at all. For some reason it did later on the day. I did try changing settings like turning it off/on or changing time out time and force restart app, but this had no effect until it eventually started working as expected. But how reliable is this?

UPDATE: I see now that the app has built-in swipe gesture support which explains why this issue happens. Both Android's swipe gestures as well as the Auth apps swipe gesture are used at the same time because well they both use a similar gesture for the same function.
