Jumping in here uninvited re teaching/communicating the value of git and GitHub. I think about this topic a bit at the D-Lab. In particular, a little know resource that I find effective is GitHub's own learning bot, which takes users through the steps of common tasks. Do you think these materials would be useful for your usecase?

@pyles - the three in modules textbook are fine - core-resources/templates and CP101 lab 7
@chrispyles Ok lets leave git for now... I guess I was thinking to add some, but its fine
