unable to use rewrite-timstamps
unable to use rewrite-timstamps (ERROR: failed to solve: exporter option "rewrite-timestamp" conflicts with "unpack")
Jul 18, 2024
Description
I'm trying to build a reproducible & hermetic image with docker CLI.
I'm running into this error-
Reproduce
I've tried variations of the same command-
docker build --output type=image,unpack=false,rewrite-timestamp=true --build-arg=SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH=$(git log -1 --pretty=%ct) --no-cache --network=none --push --platform=linux/amd64 <git url> -t <image>
docker buildx build --output type=image,unpack=false,rewrite-timestamp=true --build-arg=SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH=$(git log -1 --pretty=%ct) --no-cache --network=none --push --platform=linux/amd64 <git url> -t <image>
docker buildx build --no-cache --output type=image,push=true,unpack=false,rewrite-timestamp=true,name=<> --build-arg=SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH=$(git log -1 --pretty=%ct) --network=none --platform=linux/amd64
Expected behavior
Image should have been built.
