When making a plot, "y versus x", to me, implies a 2D plot with y on the vertical axis and x on the horizontal axis. This is clearly not what is meant here, but I'm not sure if this is a typo or if the convention is different in ecology.

@goi42 Versus does have a connotation of independent-dependent variable. What do you think of:

Create a plot to compare total males and total females per site for the entire dataset.
