Custom github pushing bot? #10944
-
I created an account (@ZiYueWeblate) and followed the documentation to push translations to Github repo. I added my bot account as repo collaborator and set push URL with ssh in weblate. Finally I found that the commits were me and @weblate. Why weblate bot can commit to my repo in case of I don't give it permission? What should I do if I want to push translation with my own bot? 🤔 I use docker compose and this is my configuration:
WEBLATE_GITHUB_USERNAME: ZiYueWeblate
WEBLATE_GITHUB_TOKEN: token
WEBLATE_GITHUB_HOST: api.github.com |

The authorship to @weblate is assigned based on e-mail, which can be configured: https://docs.weblate.org/en/latest/admin/config.html#default-commiter-email It has nothing to do with permissions to your repository, it just shows who authored the commit. Pushing to repo is controlled by the permissions, but that doesn't restrict authorship of pushed commits. |
