Caching icons

Is there a way for Dashy to cache icons into the local icons directory and not have to reach out to the net for those icons?

I understand there is a local icons option but that requires uploading existing icons. If we can have it query the icons and then put them locally, I feel like that would be more convenient (for my use case). Currently I'm using the hl- API but my understanding is it reaches out to the net every time to get those?

Apologies if I overlooked it in the documentation. I also did a search in issues and the discussions and couldn't find anything related.
