Changelog

All notable changes to this project will be documented in this file.

The format is based on Keep a Changelog and this project adheres to Semantic Versioning.

Note that versioning matches clightning's to signal interoperablility. Any bugfixes will increment the version at the 4th place eg. a bugfix release for 0.8.0 will be noted as 0.8.0.1, etc

All additions from the clightning CHANGELOG also apply, this just documents

[0.8.2]

  • build: there's now a Makefile which will build all of the plugin examples as well as packages
  • glightning: Plugins onInit method signature has been changed, reflecting an update to how plugin options now have types
  • glightning: Plugin option types have been expanded to include 'int', 'bool' and 'flag' in addition to the existing 'string' type. Use plugin.GetBoolOption/plugin.GetIntOption etc as the easiest way to access them
  • glightning: Bitcoin Backend -- added new 'estimatefees' method hook. this replaces 'getfeerate'. Note that implementations that want to work with 0.8.1 will need to implement 'getfeerate'
  • glightning: Can now set 'channel' feature flags via the manifest
  • glightning: RPC PeerChannel now includes ReceivableMsat/ReceivableMilliSatoshi values
  • glightning: New method ConnectPeer will return a ConnectResult object, which includes the peer Id as well as their 'init' Features
  • glightning: New methods CloseWithStep, CloseToWithStep, and CloseToTimeoutWithStep which allow for specifying a 'step' for mutual close fee negotations
  • glightning: FeeRateDetails now include expanded fee rate schedule (includes MutualClose, UnilateralClose, DelayedToUs, HtlcResolution, and Penalty rates)
  • glightning: NEW RPC call: GetSharedSecret. See documentation for "getsharedsecret" in c-lightning docs
  • glightning: Plugins: the RpcCommandEvent has 'lost' a level of nesting. i.e. rc.X.Cmd is now rc.Cmd
  • glightning: Onion fields in the htlc_accepted hook have been expanded and fixed (used to return empty result in PaymentSecret)
  • glightning: new option for returning a new payload for htlc_accepted hook, see the ContinueWithPayload method
  • glightning: Plugin - the Config startup object now includes the nodes' feature set

[0.8.1]

  • glightning: includes a 'bitcoin backend' helper for writing swappable bitcoin sources for clightning. note that the API on this is currently in flux. there's a complete re-implementation of the packaged bitcoind backend that clightning ships with, bcli, included as an example in examples/plugin/btc/plugin_btc.go
  • glightning: SatoshiAmount has been renamed 'Sat'
  • glightning: NewAmount() has been renamed 'NewSat'
  • gbitcoin: now prints IO logs when GOLIGHT_DEBUG_IO flagged on
  • gbitcoin: the following RPC calls have been added

[0.8.0]

  • lightning: SatPerKiloByte,SatsPerKiloWeight updated to PerKb/PerKw respectively
  • jrpc2: parsers now properly handles []byte and json.RawMessage fields in method objects
  • bitcoin: now includes a very incomplete Bitcoin RPC client. endpoints implemented:

  • lightning: WaitAnyInvoice now returns Invoice; CompletedInvoice has been removed

  • lightning: SendPay now also needs a paymentSecret and partId
  • lightning: NEW WaitSendPayPart method
  • lightning: the txout parameter on CompleteFundChannel is now uint32 (uint16->uint32)
