With the upcoming release of the 1.0 ElectionGuard Spec and the unification of the C++ and Python repos from a unit testing, data input/output, and semantic standpoint, we would like to begin discussion of the next-generation features we want to support that would be a breaking change of the 1.0 version. We will continue to add non-breaking features to the 1.0 codebase, but because we want to preserve the community's investment in ports and verifiers, a more rigid versioning structure will be followed going forward.
