The range of "service" is Core Class: Data Service https://doi-do.github.io/dcat-us/#properties-for-data-service. This is an instance where a Class is serving as a property. For the other Classes used as Properties in Catalog (such as Dataset, Catalog Record, Catalog, Identifier, etc.) the Property Names match the existing Class names. For consistency of usage, it would be good to relabel "service" as "Data Service." _
