Full menu shown when initializing the second host / periodic updates are not consistent #686

When you initialize the first host, you don't see the hostname or host type selection until after an IP is connected to, as expected. However, when you initialize the second host, the previous hostname is shown and the host type selection is visible.

This might be worthy of a different issue, but the first host I initialized appeared automatically. The next two I initialized didn't show up until I refreshed the page manually.

There's a patch for "full menu" problem: fa23521, but it's just not merged yet.

As for the refresh, I'll take a look.
