Welcome to the NanoAOD_Analyzer wiki!

In this wiki page you will find all the information needed to install, setup and use the nanoAOD Analyzer framework for your analysis. Also, modifications, new features and instructions on how to use them can be found here.

Installation

Instructions to set up the Analyzer framework that runs over NanoAOD samples in your CMSSW working area can be found in the Installation page.

Some notes that can help you with troubleshooting from previous versions of the framework can be found here.

At the moment we run our framework at the Fermilab LPC cluster. Instructions on how to get and set up your computing accounts and run the Analyzer framework on LPC can be found at the NanoAOD Submission wiki page.

Advanced topics

NanoAOD Analyzer versions

Latest NanoAOD Analyzer version (master) updated on: August 7, 2020.

To make sure you are working with the latest version, type the following commands in your NanoAOD_Analyzer directory:

git checkout master
git pull

Configuration files

A detailed description of the options in each configuration file can be found in the Configuration files page.

Special Analyzer

There is an option to run a Special Analyzer, which uses most of the functionalities of the main framework but that can be modified by the user to create simpler analysis or add new functionalities that do not exist currently in the main framework. If you are interested in using this option, please check the Special Analyzer page.
